I will start by saying that every Nigerian has a right to a vote, once he is 18 years or above. The same way he is allowed to exercise his franchise he also holds the liberty of endorsing a particular contestant once it does not bruise his conscience.
An account of the history of the Nigerian state can invariably describe General Olusegun Aremu Okikiola Obasanjo as both villain and hero without the fear of 'double - speak'.
He has played the role of the 'Knight in the shinning Armour' almost in equal measure with the role of a 'Kill-joy'.
Yes, Obasanjo has been so many things at so many times, but I am made bold to say that it will be difficult for you to find a more devoted nationalist.
The way he cuts across the imaginary and realistic divides that now shapes the entity we call Nigeria is unfathomable, sometimes even, to the brightest brains!
Obasanjo for all we care to know or say, has spent years serving Nigeria, it behoves his cheerleaders or 'abinukus' to determine whether his service was for personal gains or national development. If he decided to support General Muhammadu Buhari in 2015 and reneged in 2019 it is his business. Now that he has decided to support Peter Obi in 2023 it is still his business.
Now, to those who will not mind their businesses because Olusegun Obasanjo has a preferred candidate, remember that his choice will only become your business if it affects your right to vote your own candidate.
By the way, the hues and cries over General Olusegun Obasanjo's choice resonates more in Buordillon while Adamawa remains adamant! Get your PVC and endorse your candidates.

He is a warlord whose voice resonates in the mind of thousands regardless of his undoings. Although, he did not support MKO Abiola and Buhari for second term while the duo went on to win. We await how far his endorsement goes this time around.
ReplyDeleteNonetheless, southeast block votes that belongs to PDP can comfortably go to Obi and leave APC another chance to win the forthcoming Presidential election.
Let us wait and see all this endorsement, nobody can't tell me who to vote for.
