Iran Threatens Everlasting Consequences After U.S. Bombs Nuclear Facilities

Ayatollah Iran

Iran has issued a stern warning to the United States following coordinated airstrikes on three of its nuclear sites, describing the assault as an act of aggression with far-reaching implications.

Speaking on Sunday, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi condemned the overnight bombing of the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear complexes, labeling it a gross violation of international law and the UN Charter.

“The events this morning are outrageous and will have everlasting consequences,” Araghchi said in an emergency briefing.

“Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interest, and people.”

The U.S. military launched the strikes using stealth bombers and bunker-buster munitions, claiming the targets were part of Iran’s clandestine nuclear weapons infrastructure.

However, Tehran maintains that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes.

As of Sunday morning, there were no reports of nuclear radiation leaks, but the attacks have triggered fresh fears of escalation in an already volatile Middle East.

The Iranian government has requested an urgent session of the UN Security Council, demanding international condemnation and warning that any further violations would provoke strong retaliatory measures.
