The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) says it will cut the price of petrol from Monday, July 14, 2025, in response to the latest price slash by Dangote Refinery.
This was confirmed by the association’s National President, Abubakar Maigandi, in an interview on Friday, July 11, according to Daily Post.
His comments followed the announcement that Dangote Refinery has reduced its ex-depot price of petrol from N840 to N820 per litre.
Maigandi stated that IPMAN affiliates are ready to mirror the price drop by the refinery, which has a production capacity of 650,000 barrels per day.
He said the association would hold a meeting on Monday to formalize the reduction in pump price.
“Whether it’s from Dangote Refinery or a general drop in depot rates, our members will also bring down their prices. We will announce the new fuel rate on Monday,” he said.
Meanwhile, petrol prices in Abuja ranged from N905 to N945 per litre as of Friday.
NIPCO, AA Rano, and Shema sold fuel at N910, while MRS, AP Ardova, and stations linked to Dangote Refinery offered it at N905.
Other marketers like Ranoil, Empire Energy, and Total Emadeb were seen selling between N920 and N945 per litre.
