A newly registered political party, the All Democratic Alliance (ADA), has urged Nigerians to end the dominance of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2027.
ADA, one of the associations recently cleared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), said it is on a mission to rescue the country from political and economic decline.
In a statement on Sunday, the party’s national secretary, Umar Ardo, accused the two dominant parties of misrule, insisting that they have “failed woefully” and should no longer be entrusted with the leadership of the nation.
He cautioned that retaining them in power would spell doom for Nigeria.
His words: “The hour of decision is now. Nigeria cannot afford another wasted election cycle.
“The recycled politicians of APC, PDP and others have forfeited every moral right to lead this country. Their continued grip on power is a death sentence for Nigeria’s survival as a nation.”
Describing ADA as a platform for moral rebirth, Ardo urged patriotic elites, youths, and women to join forces with the party in building a new political order.
He stated: “This is no longer a choice; it is a duty. To stand aside is to betray Nigeria. To join hands is to save her.
“Let history remember us not as the generation that watched Nigeria die, but as the one that rose, united and gave her a new lease of life.”
He explained that the party intends to give women and youths a central role in governance, likening ADA to “Nigeria’s Ark of Noah” that would ferry citizens out of insecurity, poverty, and hopelessness into unity and prosperity.
“As the job of registering the ADA has just started, it needs your participation to accomplish the process.
“We, therefore, call upon all and sundry to support and join the ADA for the sake of our people and country,” he added.
