Renowned Yoruba nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, well known as Sunday Igboho, has ignite widespread reactions after declaring that although he is a Christian, he makes use of traditional charms.


Igboho made the statement in a viral video currently circulating on social media while addressing a gathering of traditional rulers.


In the footage, the activist spoke openly about his religious background and upbringing, stating that his use of charms does not contradict his Christian faith.


“I am a Christian, but I use charms. I do all religions. Even my Islamic father, Muideen Ajani Bello is a Muslim, I am a Christian. I was born in church, but I do charms. I was trained in the act. Everyone knows my father is a babalawo in Modakeke,” he said.


This publication however understand that Igboho’s remarks have since generated mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians debating the compatibility of Christianity and traditional spiritual practices.


Sunday Igboho was born in Igboho, an old Oyo town, of Oke ogun in Oyo State. His father relocated the family to Modakeke in Osun state, where he grew up.
