
Political heavyweights and key stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) converged on Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, on Sunday as the PBAT AGAIN 2027 support group unveiled its state secretariat, in a move seen as boosting grassroots mobilisation and awareness for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election.
The convener of the group in the state, Amb. Kunle Adeleke, in his address, said the initiative is aimed at strengthening political structures and deepening engagement at the grassroots ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The event, held at the Oke-Bola area of Ibadan, attracted a wide array of party leaders, elected officials, and stakeholders, underscoring the growing political momentum within the APC in the state.
Adeleke, who also serves as the President’s State Chief of Protocol (SCOP), described the unveiling as more than the commissioning of a physical structure, noting that it represents a broader commitment to continuity, stability, and national development.
He emphasised that the movement is strategically positioned to consolidate ongoing reforms and ensure sustained governance outcomes beyond the current administration.
Adeleke also highlighted the importance of unity, discipline, and deliberate planning in achieving political success.
“I welcome you all to this historic occasion the official opening of our Support Group for the President, known as PBAT AGAIN 2027 here in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Today is not just about unveiling a physical structure; it is about reinforcing a political idea, a shared conviction, and a forward-looking commitment to continuity, stability, and progress in Nigeria. This office represents organization, coordination, and grassroots engagement the very pillars upon which enduring political success is built.
PBAT AGAIN 2027 is not merely a slogan. It is a deliberate call to consolidate reforms, deepen governance outcomes, and ensure that the trajectory of national development remains steady and focused…,” he said.
Earlier in his remarks, the Oyo State Coordinator of the group, Alhaji Olatunde Sunmonu, described the unveiling as a landmark development for supporters of the president in the state.
He noted that the secretariat represents a firm commitment to the Renewed Hope agenda and provides a platform for mobilisation, engagement, and policy dialogue across the state. Sunmonu also commended Adeleke for his leadership and vision in establishing the initiative.
“It is with gratitude to Almighty God and great honor that I welcome you all to this landmark event, the official opening of the PBAT AGAIN 2027 Oyo chapter state-of-the-art office. This location is more than the unveiling of its structure, it symbolizes our unwavering commitment to the renewed hope agenda of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
This office will serve as a strategic hub for mobilization, engagement, policy dialogue, and consultation of the gains of this administration across Oyo State.

The Oyo State Chairman of the APC, Alake Adeyemo, described the development as a renewed effort to galvanise support for the president, urging party members and stakeholders to intensify mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 elections.
In his goodwill message, Senator Fatai Buhari commended Adeleke’s foresight, noting that the initiative goes beyond physical infrastructure and serves as a call to both political actors and non-political appointees to give back to society, support governance, and contribute meaningfully to the success and continuity of the current administration.
Also speaking, a chieftain of the party and governorship hopeful, Barrister Akeem Agbaje, stressed the importance of unity within the party, cautioning against internal divisions and imposition, while emphasising the need for credible candidates and collective effort to secure electoral victory based on lessons from previous elections.
