Celebrity Nigerian disc jockey and media personality Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, well known as DJ Cuppy, has spoken about why she does not see herself marrying a Nigerian man.

During a discussion, she said her view is based on a past relationship experience where she felt the man’s interest was more focused on her family background than on her as a person.
The 33 year old said the experience has continued to shape how she views the intentions of some men who approach her.
“I can never marry a Nigerian. It’s impossible. The last one I dated was asking me when he could meet my dad. I didn’t even think they liked me. My dad doesn’t even care who I marry; he just wants me to get married. That’s why I’m so happy for Temi and Eazi,” she stated.
DJ Cuppy is the daughter of Nigerian businessman Femi Otedola and has often spoken publicly about her relationships and the attention that comes with her family background. Over the years, she has been linked to a number of public relationships, including her past engagement to British boxer Ryan Taylor, which later ended.
Her comments have also drawn attention because of her reference to Temi Otedola and singer Mr Eazi. Temi, her sister, recently married Mr Eazi in a private ceremony that attracted widespread public interest and congratulatory messages.
